Great article and perspective, Kevin! I agree with your karma comment too. I wonder if Kiffin will one day realize and regret all that he abandoned.

I’m an LSU fan & I completely agree with this!

Thanks for reading and commenting, Phil. I didn't know you were an LSU fan... I don't think its an indictment of them, more of the lack of character of Kiffin.

Kiffin and Ole Miss remind me of a fable too -- the Scorpion and the Frog.

I rarely watch college football now 😭 yeah, I know that's sad, but I bet I'd happy dance to have this guy sit down at a poker table with me. 😂

I feel bad for his players. I used to love college football (Buckeye grad) and still watch, but I miss the old days of college sports.

Although I am an NFL fan, I know very little about college football. So when this Ole Miss coach went to LSU, I didn’t understand why people were so upset. Thanks for clarifying this, Kevin, with your unique relatable style and keen observations.

We will never know why people do the things they do. But we’re happy to have him!🐅

As a Bama fan who thinks Lane is an excellent coach, I don’t understand his decision process.

Let’s put aside what he did or did not do to the coaches and players at Ole Miss. Just comparing the opportunities, I don’t understand why he wanted to leave Ole Miss for LSU.

Is LSU a better job than Ole Miss? Yes. But here’s the reality: If Lane would have stayed and won the NC at Ole Miss, he could have any college job he wanted. No school would turn him down with a NC while coaching in Oxford on his resume.

If the goal is to have the best job today…ok LSU is likely the better move.

But staying in Oxford was likely the best move for the remainder of his career.
