Observation Deck #2
UFO's, Saying Goodbye, and Ice Cream..
š Thank You
For reading... and for all the great feedback last week. The Observation Deck is a quick summary of what Iām watching, reading, noticing, or thinking about. Quick reads- Simply things Iām drawn to and hope you might be, too.
Here we are, floating inside the Milky Wayā¦..a sprawling swirl of stars, gas, and dust.
Weāre on a tiny blue dot tucked in the outer burbs of a galactic superhighway...
Scrolling through our phones.
Getting annoyed in traffic.
Standing behind someone buying scratch-offs at Quik Trip while our coffee gets cold.
The Milky Way alone contains hundreds of billions of stars and at least that many planets. And itās just one of roughly two trillion galaxies in the observable universe. Mind-bendingā¦. yes. Which is how I ended up paying 20 bucks on Amazon Prime to rent a showā¦
šŗ WHAT IāM WATCHING
Age of Disclosure (Amazon Prime)
Whatever you think about government secrecy, UFOs/UAPs, or what may or may not exist beyond our understanding, this documentary is really fascinating. Not because it provides answers, but because it explores how much information has been classified, withheld, or left unexplained. What gives it real weight is that the voices in the film are credible sources. They are senior intelligence officials, military leaders, and government insiders from both parties, speaking on the record. It is less about conclusions and more about curiosity and the reality of how little any of us actually know. I found it fascinating..and worth the $20ā¦.. you decide. š
š WHAT IāM READING
The Let Them Theory ā Mel Robbins
I read this a while ago and wrote a blog about it.. BUT.. I thought it would be a useful reminder for anyone who hasnāt read it yet. In addition, it would be a great holiday gift for almost anyone⦠men, women, teens.. If youāre like most people and you struggle at times with what other people think.. this book can provide a simple solution. It has been a huge help for me, and I recommend it all the time..

š„ QUOTE OF THE WEEK
I hope you donāt have any actual āenemiesā, but if we put this in a different context, itās still great advice. People who get under our skin, are disrespectful or rude- donāt deserve our consideration. They should act as a reminder to NOT be like them.
š§ ONE USEFUL THING
The Four-Word Exit Strategy You Need This Holiday Season
Weāve all been thereā¦. trapped in a holiday party conversation you never meant to have, nodding politely while planning a quiet escape. Youāre halfway to the door when Nick from accounting asks about travel plans, and suddenly youāre lying about your dogās poop schedule, or your auntās hip instead of grabbing a cupcake and leaving with dignity.
Turns out thereās an actual science-backed way to exit without the awkwardness. TIME recently broke down what experts call āleave-taking behavior,ā and the solution is almost laughably simple: four words. No over-explaining. No negotiations. Just a clean, polite escape that respects everyoneās time.

š¦ CLOSING NOTE
Ice cream has turned into my guilty pleasure as Iāve gotten older.. I remember hearing that Joe Biden ate it all the time.. He is even quoted as saying āIn my book, every day is National Ice Cream Day.ā
I agree with this sentiment, which is at odds with my desire to combat Father Time and my waist line.
Iām a cookies and cream guy, now.. I landed firmly on this about 10 years ago with an occasional deviation to cookie dough. As a kid, orange sherbet was my jam. I got it every time we went out. Being the youngest of 6 kids, I can still remember the flavors that my 5 siblings and parents got. You probably can, too.
What about you? Whatās your go to? Do you change it up or always get the same thing.
Life is short, eat the ice cream..
Do some āpushupsā, too. š

Cookies and Cream is my ride or die!!
And, I am relatively new here, so not sure if Iāve conversed with you at all about Mel Robbins yet. Have you read any of the plagiarism stuff about her and that book?
The Age Of Disclosure is top of my list!
